Obviously I am not that great at updating this blog! As I would say - Shocking! I would love to update it more but I just forget. One day, I'm going to get this blog printed and that can be a gift for Emmy.
What's new with us? Well, Emmy is no longer at a home daycare but has moved up to the big leagues. She's at a really great Academy and she is thriving. There is a ton of stimulation with 20+ kids in her class. I really like it and hopefully we will see big changes in her.
At the same time of being excited for her to start the Academy, I was also said that she has grown out of Tati's house. Tati is a wonderful caregiver and gave Emmy a wonderful start. The last day I dropped her off at Tati's house, I had to reign in the feelings. I couldn't believe that 2 years ago I had carried her into Tati's house - she was about 14 months old and now, she's skipping, running and jumping her way along. Time flies, but I absolutely LOVE seeing her grown up.
Speaking of growing up, no baby news to report on. We are still having some difficulties with creating baby #2 and we've given ourselves one more year to try and have a baby. If it doesn't happen, then c'est la vie. We are blessed with one amazing child.
I'll add this link to my bookmark bar so maybe I'll see it more often and drop in and write more.
Until the next time, bye!

Hello blog!
As you will see, I have not been blogging. Not sure what happened but I think it was a combination of a more active infant and going back to work. I recently found it and I decided to start up again. My mom has been bugging me to write down all the funny things that Emmy has been doing because I, apparently, will never remember it! Shocking....and so true. I can't remember what I had for lunch yesterday so I imagine I won't have too many memories of specific instances.
So what's new with baby E? Well, first of all, she's not baby E anymore. She's a wonderful, vibrant almost 3 year old. I know I am very lucky to have such a wonderful child. She is happy, curious, bold and hilarious.
We were at my sister-in-law's cottage for new years and here is my kid wanting to try to skate, climbing up the big hill multiple times while tobagging and then going for a ski-doo ride with her Uncle M. Great times!
She's obsessed with Thomas and Mickey and wants a combined Thomas / Mickey birthday party....hello Mickey, I do believe you will be riding the rails for E's birthday party! I must go search google images for the twosome.
Here are some other memories:
- E telling me that because my shoulder hurts, I can't read her a book so Daddy has to do it
- her expression at Christmas when she realized that Santa brought her not only LUKE but the Big Island of Sodor to play with! a side note - i get why parents totally spoil their kids on Christmas. Seeing their faces is priceless and worth the penny! We spent 2 hours putting the train set together!
As a family, we feel very blessed and very lucky to have such a normal, healthy happy home life. I wonder what 2014 has in store for us all? I'm sending positive thoughts out to the universe!
